Cummings Wins 10,000 to Open Sam Howell Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. (4/1/11) - Senior Sarah Cummings gave the Princeton women's track and field team its first win of the 2011 Sam Howell Invitational on Friday, April 1 at Weaver Stadium.
Cummings won the 10,000 with a time of 34:44.45. She shaved nearly two minutes off her time from the last meet at the Disney Invitational. Sophomore Abby Hewitt took second at 36:28.39.
Sophomore Greta Feldman finished second in the 1500 at 4:32.73 and freshman Marissa Cummings placed 10th in the 5000 at 17:32.75.
The Tigers resume the Howell Invite tomorrow at 11 a.m., with the women's hammer throw.
