Women's 4x1500 Posts Record Time at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA (4/29/11) - The Princeton women's track & field team competed in one event on the second day of the Penn Relays on Friday, April 29 and set a program record.
The Tigers ran 17:50.45 in the 4x1500 Championship of America. Greta Feldman (4:27.3), Alexis Mikaelian (4:18.7), Alex Banfich (4:32.3) and Marisa Cummings (4:32.2) finished fourth in the event out of 10. It is the first time Princeton ran a 4x1500 this season. The time re-sets the program record time of 18:06.75 that was set one year ago here at Franklin Field by Ashley Higginson, Sarah Cummings, Alexis Mikaelian and Mel Newbery as that relay finished eighth.
Princeton will run the 4x800 tomorrow, Saturday, April 30 to wrap up the Penn Relays.
