Reinprechts and Cesan Represent USA at Champions Challenge

PRINCETON - Princeton field hockey players Katie and Julia Reinprecht and Michelle Cesan represented the United States at the 2011 Champions Challenge I tournament in Dublin, Ireland in the middle of June. All three players were selected to the national team after the USA Field Hockey National Championships in late May.
The Champions Challenge features teams from the U.S., Ireland, Azerbaijan, India, Spain, Japan, South Africa and Scotland. The American teamadvanced to the championship game of the tournament before falling to Japan 2-1. The U.S. went 0-2-1 in its three pool games, falling 2-1 to Japan and 3-1 to Scotland before drawing with South Africa 5-5 on Tuesday. The Americans then beat Ireland and Scotland in the playoff round to advance to the title game against Japan.
