Weber Named ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week

ALBANY, N.Y. (1/10/12) - Senior Rachel Weber of the Princeton women's hockey team has been named the ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week, respectively, for the week of Jan. 10.
Weber earned a 3-0 shutout against No. 10 Harvard Friday. It was her third blanking of the season as she ended Harvard's four-game win streak. She made 20 saves as she held Harvard scoreless for the first time since Nov. 26, 2010 when the Crimson lost at Minnesota 3-0. The following night she stopped 39 shots in a tie with Dartmouth. With her 1-0-1 weekend, Weber helped to extend Princeton's unbeaten streak to four. She finished the weekend with an incredible 0.96 GAA and a .967 save percentage making 59 saves and allowing just two goals.
This is Weber's second ECAC honor of the season and sixth in her career.
Weber was also named the GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week this week.
