This Week for the Tigers: The Princeton women's basketball team (11-4 overall, 1-0 Ivy League) opens up a four-game conference home slate this weekend, beginning with Cornell (5-8) on Friday, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. in its Ivy League home opener. Two days later, the Tigers will square off with Columbia (2-11) in a 2 p.m. contest.
Faculty and Staff/Family Fun Day: Members of Princeton's faculty and staff can receive up to four free tickets to the game by showing their employee ID at the door. There will be a face painter, bounce house and other games beginning at 1 p.m. and continuing through tip-off, plus during halftime. Following the game all fans will have a chance to meet their favorite Princeton players during an autograph session.
Last Time Out: Princeton extended their winning streak to four behind an 83-48 victory over Penn on Jan. 7. A pair of double figure scoring runs in the first half and five players tallying double digit scoring figures helped guide the Tigers to a 1-0 start in Ivy League action.
On Deck: After a two-and-a-half week break in play due to finals, the Tigers will resume Ivy League competition with back-to-back games versus Brown (Feb. 3) and Yale (Feb. 4) at Jadwin Gym.

Scouting Cornell: Cornell (5-8) will open up Ivy League play versus the Tigers Friday, following their 79-59 loss at South Dakota on Jan. 9. This weekend's game will mark the Big Red's sixth consecutive contest on the road.
The Cornell offense is led by Allyson DiMagno and Clare Fitzpatrick, who both are averaging 10.8 ppg apiece. Fitzpatrick also is the squad's rebounding leader, with 7.6 rpg.
All-Time Series History vs. Cornell: Princeton leads the all-time series versus the Big Red 42-20. The Tigers swept the season series versus Cornell last season, earning a 65-43 victory at home on Feb. 12 and a 71-44 win in Ithaca, N.Y. on Feb. 25.
Scouting Columbia: The Columbia Lions (2-11) host Morgan State on Wednesday, Jan. 11, before traveling to Jadwin Gym for a Sunday matinee matchup with the Tigers. Columbia currently is 1-1, snapping a five-game losing streak with a 77-74 win versus Bryant on Dec. 30.
Melissa Shafer headlines the Lion offense, averaging 10.6 ppg and Amara Mbionwu is the team's top rebounder, averaging 6.6 rpg.
All-Time Series History vs. Columbia: The Tigers currently own a 38-16 all-time record over Columbia entering this weekend's action. Princeton went 2-0 versus the Lions last season, defeating Columbia 57-35 at home on Feb. 11, and earned a 65-52 victory over the Lions on Feb. 26 in New York.
RPI: The Tigers currently boast the No. 11 RPI in the nation for the week of Jan. 9, moving up a place in the poll.
Nationally Ranked: Junior Niveen Rasheed currently is ranked in the top-100 in points per game (68) and rebounds per game (66), while classmate Lauren Polansky is No. 85 in steals per game.
Returning Home: After playing their last five games in California, New York and Pennsylvania, the Tigers return home to host a four-game home stand versus Ivy League foes, beginning with Cornell and Columbia this weekend.
Tigers Look to Extend Winning Ways: Princeton is currently riding a four-game winning streak, with all four victories coming on the road.
Rasheed Scores 900th Point: At Penn on Jan. 7, junior Niveen Rashed scored her 900th career point. After missing the second half of the 2010-11 season due to injury, she returned to action in top form and currently leads the team in scoring, averaging 17.1 ppg.
Season Highs: At Penn on Jan. 7, the Tigers scored a season-best 31 field goals, while dishing a season-high 22 assists and grabbing 52 boards.
ESPN Bracketology: According to Charlie Creme, Princeton is predicted to earn the No. 9 seed in the 2011-12 NCAA Tournament (click here to view). In Ivy League history, no team has ever been seeded higher than No. 11.

1,000-Point Scorers: This season seniors Devona Allgood and Lauren Edwards both reached the 1,000-career point milestone this season.
Edwards scored her 1,000th career point at Lafayette on Nov. 14, and Allgood reached the scoring feat on Dec. 31 versus Drexel.
Rasheed Earns Ivy POW Honors: Junior forward Niveen Rasheed has been named Ivy League Player of the Week three times. The lone Tiger to receive conference honors this season, the Californian was named POW on Nov. 21, Dec. 19 and Jan. 2.
Edwards Name Lowe's Senior CLASS Finalist: Senior Lauren Edwards has been named a finalist for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award. She is one of 30 student-athletes named a finalist for the annual award.
