TigerCast Hits The Ice With Paula Romanchuk And Derrick Pallis
January 12, 2012 | General, Men's Ice Hockey, Women's Ice Hockey
Seniors Paula Romanchuk and Derrick Pallis join the latest edition of TigerCast to talk about the Princeton ice hockey seasons so far and two key ECAC weekends upcoming.
Romanchuk, a senior co-captain from San Jose, Calif., has scored 27 career goals for Princeton and just helped the Tigers to an important three-point weekend at Baker Rink, including a 3-0 shutout of No. 10 Harvard. The Tigers will take a four-game unbeaten streak into a tough New York road trip, and Romanchuk talks about the team's drive for consistency, the previous weekend's importance and the deep and close-knit senior class.
Pallis, an assistant captain from Medfield, Mass., is fourth on the team with 10 points and is tied for the team lead with eight assists. He will lead Princeton into a crucial home weekend against the top two teams in the ECAC standings, Colgate and Cornell. Pallis talks about the potential for this team and the importance of going into the break with a strong performance this weekend.
