Women's Track Hosts Quad Meet Saturday

PRINCETON, N.J. (1/12/11) - The Princeton women's track & field team resumes the 2011-12 indoor season on Saturday, Jan. 14 when it hosts the Princeton Quad Meet at Jadwin Gym.
Princeton will compete along with Rutgers, St. John's and St. Joseph's. The first event begins at 11 a.m. A full schedule can be found below.
The Tigers won the Quad Meet last year with 209 points, winning 12 events. St. John's took second with 139 points, Rutger was third with 99 and St. Joseph's finished fourth with 71.
Junior Tory Worthen captured the pole vault clearing 3.76 meters. In the sprints senior Eileen Moran won the 60 with a time of 7.63, and junior Abidemi Adenikinju won the 200 at 25.77. Junior Mel Newbery had a first-place time of 4:54.53 in the mile, the only runner to finish in under five minutes. Senior Danielle Glaeser earned a win in the 400, crossing the line at 57.92 and junior Greta Feldman ran a 2:14.91 to win the 800. Sophomore Kristin Smoot pulled out the win in a tight 1000 meter race, and classmate Theresa Devine won the 3000. The 4x400 capped off the day with a victory. Other first-place finishers include the graduated Thanithia Billings (weight, shot), Lauren Barber (60m hurdles).SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
