Luis Nicolao Joins TigerCast To Preview 2012 Women's Water Polo Team
January 26, 2012 | General, Women's Water Polo
Luis Nicolao is about to enter his 14th season as the head coach of Princeton women's water polo, and he joined the latest TigerCast to preview his 2012 team.
Though the Tigers lost six seniors from 2011, Princeton does return several key pieces from a Top 20 squad last season. Senior co-captain Kristen Ward returns as one of the East's top goaltenders, while sophomore Katie Rigler led the Tigers in scoring and earned All-America honors during her first season.
Princeton enters the season ranked 18th nationally, though three other Eastern programs are above the Tigers. After a season filled with agonizingly close losses, Nicolao talks about what it will take to turn those into wins and hopefully bring an Eastern title to Princeton.
TigerCast can be accessed now through the "Podcasts" tab on the right side of the main page, or by going to the main TigerCast page here.
TigerCast, presented by PNC Bank, is the official podcast of Princeton Athletics. Previous episodes of TigerCast can be downloaded for free anytime at GoPrincetonTigers.com.
