Women's Hockey Begins Second Half Hosting Robert Morris

PRINCETON, N.J. (1/29/12) - The second half of the season gets underway on Monday, Jan. 31 when the Princeton women's hockey team hosts Robert Morris at Baker Rink at 3 p.m.
This is the first meeting between the two squads. Robert Morris started varsity competition in 2005-06.
Princeton returns to the ice for the first time in 16 days, following fall semester exams. The last time out, the Tigers defeated Colgate 5-3 and lost a 1-0 game at No. 3 Cornell on Jan. 13 & 14. The Tigers are 8-10-4 overall, going 2-1-3 since returning from the holiday break. Sophomore Sally Butler is the team's leading scorer with 12 goals and nine assists for 21 points. Classmate Denna Laing has 16 points on seven goals and nine assists. Freshman defender Ali Pankowski has a team-high 10 assists and one goal for 11 points. Sophomore Olivia Mucha and senior Paula Romanchuk add 10 points apiece. Senior goaltender Rachel Weber has started in every game. She has 622 saves on 666 shots for a 1.99 goals against average and a .934 save percentage.
Robert Morris is 14-7-2 overall and most recently split a home-and-home series with Niagara this weekend. The team has split its last three series, versus Mercyhurst and Providence. The Colonials started hot with an 11-2-2 run but since the Christmas holiday they are 3-5. RMU is led by freshman Rebecca Vint's 31 points. She has a team-high 16 goals and 15 assists. Sophomore Thea Imbrogno has nine goals and team-best 16 assists for 25 points and senior Brianna Delaney has eight goals and 14 assists for 22 points. Four other skaters are in double digits in scoring. Junior Kristen DiCiocco has started in all but two games in goal. DiCiocco has made 524 saves on 562 shots for a 1.80 GAA and a .923 save percentage. Freshman Courtney Vinet has made two starts and earned wins in each.
