Weber Earns Final ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week Honors

ALBANY, N.Y. (2/21/12) - Senior Rachel Weber of the Princeton women's hockey team has earned the final ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week honor of the 2011-12 season. This is Weber's third weekly honor this season and seventh in her career.
Princeton swept its final regular season winning, taking down Rensselaer 2-1 and posting a 3-0 shutout over Union. Weber led the league in both save percentage and goals against average. She allowed one goal in 120 minutes and made 37 saves for a 0.50 GAA and a .974 save percentage. Against RPI she made 22 saves, including 12 in the third period as the Engineers were desperate to tie the game. The following afternoon she made 15 stops in her fourth blanking of the season, and 13th of her career.
The No. 7 seed in the ECAC Tournament, the Tigers will face No. 2 Harvard in Cambridge in the quarterfinal series. The first game is Friday, Feb. 24 at 4 p.m., and the second is Saturday, Feb. 25 at 3 p.m. The if necessary game is Sunday, Feb. 26 at 3 p.m.
