Women's Water Polo Earns No. 2 Seed at Eastern Championships

Following its Southern Division Championship, the Princeton women's water polo team earned the No. 2 seed in the 2012 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Eastern Championships from April 27-29 hosted at Brown in Providence, R.I.
The CWPA Western and Southern Divisions make up the 13 team slate. The winner of the Eastern Championship will earn the automatic bid into the 2012 NCAA Water Polo National Championship from May 11-13 hosted at San Diego State's Aztec Aquaplex in San Diego, Calif.
The 14th-ranked Tigers (25-4, 5-0 Southern Division) won their seventh Southern Division title behind a 9-8 victory over Brown on April 15. Princeton earns a first round bye at Easterns and will open the weekend facing the winner of the seventh-seed Harvard - 10th-seed Mercyhurst matchup at 7:40 p.m.
Michigan, the winner of the Western Division Championship, earned the top seed at Easterns.
