Stilin Sets Princeton Record at Mt. Sac Relays
April 22, 2012 | Men's Track and Field
WALNUT, Calif. (4/21/12) - Princeton senior Joe Stilin set the school record in the 5,000-meter run at the Mt. Sac Relays this weekend.
Stilin ran 13:38.36 to finish 12th overall with the fourth-best time by a collegiate runner. That time ranks in the top-10 in the nation, as Stilin is ninth among the NCAA leaders in the 5k. His time also betters the Olympic Trials B qualifying standard.
The previous record was held by Stilin's classmate Donn Cabral. A two-time All-America in the 5,000, Cabral ran 13:40.62 in the 5,000 at the 2011 NCAA Championship to take the top time in school history.
