McCullough Named to The Bowerman Watch List

Sophomore Conor McCullough has been named to The Bowerman Watch List, it was announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Wednesday, May 2.
Track & field's version of The Heisman, The Bowerman gave mention to McCullough during the indoor season. He's the first Ivy League student-athlete to be named to The Bowerman Watch List as well as the first to receive a mention on the list.
McCullough is the collegiate leader in the hammer throw by nearly seven feet. He threw a personal best of 74.01 (242-9) at the Sam Howell Invitational in April, a meet that saw him throw to 73.62 (241-6) or better three times. At the end of the indoor season, McCullough had the best mark in the nation in the weight throw at 23.19 (76-1). Of the top-10 marks, McCullough had five of them, throwing to 22.65 (74-3) or better each time.
He is one of just 10 track & field athletes across all divisions in the NCAA to earn this prestigious recognition.

Bowerman served the sport of track and field in numerous ways. His leadership in the USTFCCCA's predecessor organization, the National Collegiate Track Coaches Association, and his contributions to NCAA track and field and the running community as a whole are among his many lasting legacies.
