Field Hockey Well Represented at Women's National Championship

USA Field Hockey Women's National Championship Results
The Princeton field hockey program is well represented at the USA Field Hockey Women's National Championship in College Park, Md. The championship runs from June 1-8 and is made up of the top athletes from eight regional teams. Seven current and former Tigers and head coach Kristen Holmes-Winn are participating in the weeklong event.
Holmes-Winn is the head coach of the New Jersey regional team, featuring current players Michelle Cesan '14, Sydney Kirby '15, Katie Reinprecht '13, Julia Reinprecht '14, Kat Sharkey '13 and incoming freshman Teresa Benvenuti '16.
New Jersey defeated North 7-0 to open the competition. Sharkey scored the team's first four goals, while Cesan and Benvenuti scored the fifth and seven goals, respectively. Benvenuti also had an assist in the game.
Alumnea Maren Langford '06 is competing for the Midwest regional team. Langford had a goal versus South in her team's opener.
Both Reinprecht sisters, Cesan, Langford and Sharkey currently are members of the US Women's National Field Hockey Team. They are all currently training with Team USA in hopes of making a spot on the roster for the London Summer Olympics.
