Final Day of Princeton Soccer Invitational Awaits on Sunday

The final day of the 2012 Princeton Women's Soccer Invitational is set for Sunday, Sept. 2 at Roberts Stadium.
No. 15 Wake Forest will play Hofstra in the first game at noon, while Princeton takes on Colgate at 2:30 p.m. Princeton and Colgate last met in 2008 when the Tigers took a 2-0 game on the road. The Tigers lead the series 5-3-1.Both games will be webstreamed on GoPrincetonTigers.tv for subscribers and live stats will also be available.
On Friday, Colgate defeated Hofstra 3-2. The Raiders took a 2-0 lead in the first half but Hofstra came back in the second to even it up. Jenna Raepple had a four-point game scoring in the 6th minute and assisted on her team's other two goals. Emily Manoogian scored off the bench in the 44th minute. Amber Stobbs set up Hofstra's two goals as Leah Galton and Sam Scolarici found the back of the net in the 72nd and 74th minutes. The 2011 Patriot League Player of the Year Jillian Kinter scored the game winner for the Raiders in the 82nd minute. Hofstra outshot Colgate 21-12 and had a 12-5 corner kick advantage. Colgate's Ashley Walsh made six stops in net, while Hofstra's Emily Morphitis made one save.
In the nightcap, Wake Forest and Princeton traded goals in the 72nd and 77th minutes after a scoreless first half. Riley Ridgik scored on a pass from Rachel Nuzzolese before Jen Hoy put Princeton on the scoreboard with help from Jessica Haley and Gabriella Guzman. The deciding goal would come from Nuzzolese in the 81st minute. Kristin Watson made two saves in goal for the Tigers, while Aubrey Bledsoe stopped one for the Deacons. Wake Forest had a 10-7 edge in shots and a 7-2 differential in corner kicks.
