BOX SCORES: BYU l NEW HAMPSHIRE
Princeton dropped its final two matches of the George Washington Invitational Saturday, including a 3-0 loss at the hands of 15th-ranked BYU. The Tigers concluded the weekend with their third five-setter of the season, a 3-2 loss to New Hampshire.
The undefeated Cougars of BYU dominated the first two sets against Princeton, though the Tigers made a strong fight in the third. Freshman Kendall Peterkin led all Princeton players with 11 kills, while both Chelsea Parker and Sarah Hanna had six kills apiece. Freshman Sarah Daschbach led Princeton with 15 digs, while junior Sydney Brombal added 12.
Sophomore Ginny Willis added 20 assists against BYU, though she more than doubled that in a 24-26, 19-25, 25-18, 25-18, 15-12 loss to New Hampshire. Willis had 49 assists and helped Princeton hit .225, though it wouldn't be enough to lead the Tigers to victory.
Senior Lydia Rudnick had 16 kills, while junior Leah Jordan had a season-best 13 kills. Fellow middle Nicole Kincade had 11 kills and five blocks, while Daschbach added 23 digs.
Princeton is now 3-6 on the season and will make its home debut Tuesday night against Lehigh.
