HBO to Feature Field Hockey?s Work with Friends of Jaclyn Tuesday
October 21, 2013 | Field Hockey
Since 2010 the Princeton field hockey program has found a very special source of inspiration and life perspective in Carmella Loschiavo, a seven-year old the team was paired with through the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation. The Tigers' relationship with Moo, as she is affectionately referred to, will be highlighted on HBO's Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 10 p.m.
The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation is a nonprofit organization that pairs children and families battling pediatric brain tumors with sports teams. The Tigers have built an incredible bond with not only Moo, but her entire family, partaking in numerous events throughout the year with the Laschiavos.
Tuesday's episode will feature the connection between the Tigers and Laschiavos, along with Jaclyn Murphy, whose family started the foundation nine years ago.
