• Princeton is now 2-0 all-time against the Golden Flashes and is now 5-2 against the MAC over the last six seasons (2-0 vs. Kent State, 2-0 vs. Buffalo, 1-1 vs. Central Michigan, 0-1 vs. Akron).
• Princeton has now won 20 straight games when leading at the half.
• Princeton has now won seven straight games at home and 14 of its last 15 in Jadwin Gym.
• Princeton improved to 22-6 in 2013, closing out the calendar year.
• Neither team made a field goal over the last 3:53 and Princeton didn't try one after Ben Hazel's missed three with 3:19 to go in the game. The score at 3:53, Princeton's last bucket, came on a T.J. Bray layup and made it 64-63 Princeton. Kent State's last field goal made it 60-60, coming on a Devareaux Manley 3-pointer with 4:41 to go.
• Princeton kept its season-long streak alive of scoring at least 66 points, something not done through 12 games since the 1971-72 campaign, which was also the last time Princeton averaged as many as 74.4 points per game at this point in the season.
• Will Barrett's 19 points were his third-highest total of the season, behind 22 against Lafayette and a career-high 24 at Penn State. His seven rebounds matched a season high.
• Hans Brase (above, right) had 15 points, tying a season high at a number he has reached four times this season. His career high is 17 points, set last season against Rider as a rookie. Brase's nine free throws today nearly doubled his previous career best of five.
• Bobby Garbade (above, left) had an early look for the second straight game and played a season-high six minutes, tying a season high with two rebounds.
• Princeton's 15-point leads came on either side of the halftime break, at 38-23 on a Ben Hazel 3-pointer with 1:22 before the break and at 41-26 on a Will Barrett 3-point play the old fashioned way 51 seconds into the new period.
• Kent State continued its cold shooting over the last several games. Five of their six lowest field goal percentages in games this season have come over the last five contests. After an 8-1 start, Kent State has lost three of four.
• T.J. Bray climbed up the Princeton career assist list to tie Marcus Schroeder '10 at 295 assists in sixth place. Head coach Mitch Henderson is in fifth place at 304. The stat has been kept since the 1974-75 season.
• It was the first time this season that Princeton had made fewer 3-pointers than its opponent and still won the game. The Tigers had eight threes and the Flashes had 10.
• Neither team shot well from the field, with Princeton at .353 and Kent State at .393, but the Tigers' clip was their lowest since shooting .298 in a loss to Wagner on Nov. 28, 2012. It was Princeton's lowest shooting percentage in a win since shooting .345 against Buffalo earlier that month.
• Princeton cut down its turnovers from a season-high 17 in the loss to Portland last time out to 10 against Kent State.
