PRINCETON — Listen, don't look. It seems counter-intuitive, but it's often the best way to find Branchburg native Gabie Figueroa on the ice at historic Hobey Baker Rink.
A senior defenseman for the Princeton Tigers women's hockey team who boasts seven assists in her first seven games, Figueroa's leadership skills aren't limited to performance.
“I usually lose my voice after every weekend,” she said with a laugh. “Whether it's on the ice or in the locker room, one of my big roles is to get the team going.”
