Soroka Picks Up Southern Division Player of the Week Honors

Capping off her final homestand at DeNunzio Pool, Princeton women's water polo senior Saranna Soroka was named Southern Division Player of the Week. The weekly award marks the second of the center's career.
The tri-captain helped guide the Tigers to an undefeated weekend, topping Mercyhurst 13-1, Harvard 17-9, and Bucknell 14-5 to go a perfect 5-0 in Southern play and win the regular season divisional title for the second consecutive year. Soroka tallied five goals, five steals and three assists over three starts.
On the year, she's scored 22 goals, made 16 steals and nine assists.
Soroka and the Tigers (20-5) now head to the Southern Championship as the top seed from Apr. 13-14 in Providence, R.I. Princeton opens with Bucknell and George Washington on Saturday.
