Owens is Runner-Up in Steeplechase at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA (4/25/13) – Princeton sophomore Eddie Owens was the runner-up in the Olympic Development steeplechase on opening day of the 119th Penn Relays on Thursday, April 25.
Owens ran a season-best 9:05.19. Sophomore Connor Martin placed seventh at 9:15.31 and junior Garrett Rowe clocked 9:49.60.
In the 10k, freshman Michael Sublette finished in 30:53.74 and classmate Brett Kelly ran 31:01.63.
The Tigers continue competition tomorrow beginning at 9 a.m., with the championship 400 hurdles. The distance medley relay looks to defend its Penn Relays title at 2:25 p.m.
