Callahan Named CoSIDA Academic All-District in Track & Field

PRINCETON, N.J. (5/31/13) - Peter Callahan '13 of the Princeton men's cross country and track & field teams has been named to Capital One Academic All-District Division I Cross Country and Track & Field Team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
A first-team honoree, Callahan advances to the Capital One Academic All-America team ballot.
A two-time first-team All-America, Callahan earned Princeton's Roper Award for the school's most outstanding senior male student-athlete. Callahan is an NCAA national champion, anchoring the distance medley relay at the 2012 indoor championships. The previous winter he was sixth in the nation in the mile. He is a seven-time Ivy League champion and three-time Ivy League runner-up, who has won 10 All-Ivy League honors. Callahan holds the Princeton record in the 1,000 and both the indoor and outdoor DMRs. In February, Callahan was named the Indoor Heps Most Outstanding Performer of the Meet and was named the HepsTrack.com Indoor Track Athlete of the Year. Callahan is also a three-time U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association all-academic selection.
A native of Evanston, Ill., Callahan will graduate next week with a degree in history.
