The Princeton women's volleyball team will make its home debut Tuesday night when it hosts Big East and in-state rival Seton Hall at 7 pm in Dillon Gym.
The Tigers are 3-3 on the season and ended last weekend with a victory over USC-Upstate in their final match at the Hofstra Invitational. While sophomore Kendall Peterkin led the Tigers with 16 kills in the 3-2 win, it was junior middle Tiana Woolridge who was named to the all-tournament team.
Both players are currently leading the Ivy League in a statistical category. Peterkin, one of two freshmen named to the All-Ivy League first team last year, owns the Ivy League lead in points with 3.78 per set. Woolridge, a second-team All-Ivy middle last year, has the league's highest hitting percentage (.371).
While both are veterans from last season, Tuesday night will mark the Dillon debut for the five members of the Class of 2017, each of whom have already made an impact over the first two weekends of the season. Two that have already broken into the Ivy League statistical categories are outside Cara Mattaliano (ninth in kills, 2.95) and setter Lauren Miller (sixth in assists, 6.0).
Seton Hall is 2-5 on the season, though it is coming off a victory against Rutgers in its last match. The Pirates dropped a 3-2 decision to reigning Ivy League champion Yale earlier this season.
Following Tuesday's match, Princeton will head to the Bryant Tournament in Rhode Island this coming weekend, and then will open its Ivy League season Friday, Sept. 27, at home against Penn.
