ALBANY, N.Y. (1/7/14) - Princeton's Kimberly Newell was named the ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week for the week ending Jan. 5.

Newell went 2-0 last weekend as Princeton swept Connecticut in a return from holiday break and extended the Tigers win streak to four games. She allowed just one goal in 120:57 minutes of action and made 37 total saves. For the weekend she recorded a 0.50 goals against average and registered a .974 save percentage as Princeton won 4-1, Thursday and 1-0, in overtime Friday.

The Tigers face No. 10 Quinnipiac tonight at the TD Bank Sports Center in Hamden at 7 p.m.
