| With Pennsylvania native and all-time program great Jen Hoy '13 in attendance, the Princeton women's soccer team scored early and picked up a 4-1 win Wednesday night at Lehigh. The win was also the 199th of head coach Julie Shackford's Princeton career, and it came in the 20th all-time meeting between Princeton and Lehigh. The Tigers now lead the series 19-0-1. Princeton scored twice before the game was eight minutes old, first when Lauren Lazo knocked in a ball put on goal by Jesse McDonough that Lehigh keeper Ashley Blanks couldn't handle in the seventh minute. Just 1:13 later, Vanessa Gregoire won a ball just beyond the 18-yard box and flicked it to Tyler Lussi, who fired on goal to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead. Lussi made it a two-goal game for the second time in as many contests in the 24th minute, when Lazo put the ball in the box and Lussi headed it home for a 3-0 Princeton lead. It stayed that way until the 57th mintue when Lehigh's Adrian Vitello arced a shot under the crossbar and beyond the reach of second-half goalkeeper Hannah Winner to make it 3-1. Freshman Mikaela Symanovich scored her first career goal in the 71st minute, taking a pass upfield from McDonough and getting around her Lehigh defenders before tucking a shot inside the far post for the final goal of the night. |

She had two last time out against Dartmouth. It was the fifth two-goal game of Lussi's two-year career at Princeton. • Tyler Lussi overtook the team lead with six goals on the season. She and Lauren Lazo entered the game with four goals apiece in 2014, and Lussi now leads Lazo 6-5. • Sophomore Jesse McDonough assisted on Princeton's first and last goals for her first two points of the season. It was her first career two-assist game and second career two-point game; she scored a goal against Yale last season. • All 14 of Lauren Lazo's points this season have come in her last six games. • The assist was the second of freshman Vanessa Gregoire's season. She assisted on the only goal in Princeton's Ivy-opening win over Yale two weekends ago. • Now with 70 points on her career, Lauren Lazo stands in sixth place on the program's all-time career list after starting the season in ninth place.
