PRINCETON, N.J. (11/23/14) - Princeton's nine-game homestand continues as the Tigers host travel partner Quinnipiac on Tuesday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m., at Hobey Baker Rink.
EYE ON THE TIGERSPrinceton suffered its first league losses last season as the Tigers fell to St. Lawrence and Clarkson at home. The losses ended the Tigers' seven-game unbeaten streak.
Sophomore defender Kelsey Koelzer and sophomore Molly Contini are the team leaders in points. Koelzer has three goals and a team-high nine assists for 12 points, while Contini has scored a team-best six goals and five assists for 11 points. Junior Jaimie McDonell adds nine points, while freshman Kiersten Falck chips in eight. Junior Kimberly Newell has a .916 save percentage and a 2.31 goals against average to go along with a 5-3-1 record.
PRINCETON/QUINNIPIAC SERIES
Princeton holds a 10-8-3 edge over Quinnipiac in the all-time series, and is 6-4-2 when hosting the Bobcats. Quinnipiac however has had the better luck as of late, as the Bobcats are unbeaten in the last eight games with Princeton's last victory on Jan. 3, 2011.
SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
Quinnipiac is the lone unbeaten team in the ECAC with a 5-0-1 record, after topping Clarkson 1-0 last weekend. At 10-0-2 Quinnipiac is one of two teams in the nation that has yet to lose a game, joining Boston College at 13-0-1. Quinnipiac has the strongest scoring defense nationally, at 0.50 gpg, while scoring 3.17 gpg.
Freshman Taylar Cianfarano is the team's leading scorer with 14 points on seven goals and seven assists. Junior Nicole Connery has seven goals and four assists for 11 points, while senior Erica Uden Johansson has 10 points on four goals and six helpers. Senior Chelsea Laden has started in all but one game in goal and has a .962 save percentage and a 0.45 goals against average, making 128 and allowing just five goals and recording seven shutouts.
