Men's Golf Finishes Final Pre-Ivy Tournament
April 21, 2014 | Men's Golf
In its final event before the Ivy League Championship, the Princeton men's golf team finished 15th at the Wolfpack Spring Invitational hosted by N.C. State at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course Sunday.
The tournament was due to be two rounds, but Saturday's rain halved the event to a single-day, single-round event.
Greg Jarmas led Princeton as one of seven players in the 83-player field to card a round of par or better, with Jarmas breaking even at 72. A home-course player won the event, with N.C. State's Logan Harrell turning in a 67 to defeat Francis Maron's Lukas Crisp by three shots.
Virginia won the tournament at 4-over, three shots ahead of conference foe Clemson. Princeton was one of two Ivy League teams in the field, with Columbia finishing just three shots ahead of the Tigers.
Princeton and the Lions will meet again next week at the Ivy League Championship at Baltusrol in northern New Jersey.
