Koelzer and Newell Earn ECAC Hockey Weekly Awards

ALBANY, N.Y. (12/8/15) - Junior Kelsey Koelzer was named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week and senior Kimberly Newell was named the ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Koelzer scored the overtime game-winning goal as Princeton defeated No. 7 Harvard on Friday night. She scored at 2:27 to lift Princeton to its third consecutive win. The next afternoon Koelzer set up the game-winning goal by Karlie Lund in the second, as Princeton rallied for a 4-1 win over the Big Green. She finished with a plus/minus rating of +3 on the weekend.
Newell went 2-0 with wins over No. 7 Harvard and Dartmouth as Princeton swept the two teams for the first time since 2008-09. She finished the weekend with a 0.98 goals against average and a .965 save percentage, allowing two goals on 57 saves. She improved her personal record to 7-3-1 on the season.
