Men's Track & Field to Begin Home Schedule With New Year's Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's indoor track & field team will host its first meet of the season with the New Year's Invitational on Friday, Dec. 11.
The Tigers will welcome Rider and Monmouth to Jadwin Gymnasium for this weekend's tri-meet. The field events will begin at 4 p.m. with the weight throw and shot put. Friday's running events will begin with the men's and women's 60m hurdles before culminating in men's and women's 4x400 relay.
The Tigers opened their 2015-16 campaign on Saturday, Dec. 5, wining seven events at the Metro Holiday Classic in Staten Island, N.Y. Josh Billington won the 200m with a time of 21.71 while Joshua Ingalls captured the 500m with a time of 1:03.98. Eric Schulz won the 800m, clocking in at 1:55.21.
Xavier Bledsoe posted a win in the high jump, clearing 2.09m. Chris Cook won the shot put with a toss of 18.12m. Carrington Akosa, Daniel McCord, Josh Freeman, and Ray Mennin led the Tigers' to a win in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:18.10. Schulz, Noah Kauppila, Jared Lee, and Franklin Ariguzoh gave the Tigers a victory in the 4x800 relay, crossing the tape in 7:56.60.
