Men's Track & Field Completes Competition at Armory Invitational

DAY 1 RECAP
NEW YORK, N.Y. – With several solid showings, the Princeton men's track & field team wrapped up competition at the 2015 Armory Invitational.
Leading a trio of Princeton runners in the top-10 of the mile run, William Bertrand finished fourth overall with a time of 4:06.23. Kenan Farmer came in seventh with a time of 4:12.00, while Zach Albright was ninth with a time of 4:13.18.
In the 3,000m run, Matt McDonald finished third, crossing the finish line with a personal record time of 8:06.67. Sam Berger came in sixth with a time of 8:08.68. After posting the top time in Friday's two sessions, Mike Mazzaccaro ultimately placed 17th overall (8:25.76).
Princeton's 4x400m relay team took sixth with a time of 3:18.81, while the Tigers' 4x800m relay of Eric Schulz, Farmer, Zach Albright and Bertrand was eighth with a time of 8:01.53. The 4x200m relay of Mike Seaton, Maxwell Schwegman, John Hill and Brent Albertson finished 10th (1:30.75). Princeton's distance medley relay team of Luke Brahm, Ray Mennin, Noah Kauppila and Bradley Paternostro turned in the Tigers' fastest time of the year at 9:41.58.
In the field events, Nana Owusu-Nyantekyi was eighth in the triple jump thanks to a leap of 15.07m (49-5.5) on his first attempt. Teammate Lane Russell placed ninth with a mark of 14.85m (48-8.75). Ben Gaylord and August Kiles were 12th and 13th in the pole vault. Jake Taylor was 20th in the weight throw with a toss of 15.94m (52-3.75)
Princeton will return to action at Penn State's Sykes & Sabock Challenge Cup on Feb. 6-7.
