No. 12 Women's Water Polo Ready to Host Ivy League Championship

• Princeton will host the inaugural Ivy League Championship at DeNunzio Pool on Feb. 21-22.
• The Tigers will welcome three varsity programs and four club teams for the two-day tournament.
• While the name “Ivy Championship” is used with permission of the Council of Ivy Group Presidents (“The Ivy League”), the event is organized by the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA).
• Varsity seeding for the championship is based on the order of finish among the teams at the 2014 CWPA Championship.
• The club teams' seeding was based on their order of finish in head-to-head match-ups between the squads last season.
• Sunday's semifinals along with the third-place and championship games will be broadcast on the Ivy League Digital Network.

The Week that Was
• The Tigers improved to 6-1 on the season with victories over Wagner, Long Beach State and St. Francis at Bucknell's Bison Invitational.
• Princeton held a 36-18 scoring edge in its three wins.
• The Orange and Black opened tournament play with a 9-6 triumph over a No. 17 Wagner.
• The Tigers secured a 12-7 win over No. 15 Long Beach State. Princeton's victory marked the Orange and Black's first against Long Beach in seven meetings.
• Princeton closed out Invitational play with a 15-5 win over St. Francis.
• Winners of four-straight, Princeton jumped to No. 12 in the CWPA varsity top-20.
Getting Defensive
• Ashleigh Johnson and Helena van Brande have split time in net this season, combing for a 0.699 save percentage and 16 steals.
• The duo split CWPA Defensive Player of the Week honors on Feb. 16. Van Brande was also named the conference's Rookie of the Week on Feb. 9.
• Johnson racked up 36 saves in a pair of wins over Wagner and Long Beach State. Making 16 stops against the Seahawks, Johnson tied her own school record with 20 saves against Long Beach. She also recorded her first career goal with a score against Wagner.
• In four starts this season, Johnson has posted a 3-1 record, stopping 56 of the 84 shots she has faced en route to a 0.667 save percentage.
• Helping the Tigers to a 15-5 victory over St. Francis, van Brande recorded 20 saves, matching Johnson's single-game school record.
• Winning her first three collegiate starts, van Brande has posted a 0.746 save percentage with nine steals and three assists.
Fast Start
• All 15 of the Tigers' field players have recorded a point this season, with all but one tallying a goal.
• Three different Tigers have collected at least 10 goals, led by Ashley Hatcher with 16.
• Registering a 61.5 shot percentage, Hatcher has also drawn nine ejections and dished out three assists.
• With eight goals last weekend, Jessie Holechek has amassed 14 scores and five helpers in her first seven games.
• Morgan Hallock has 10 goals on the year, while drawing a team-high 19 ejections.
• Making an immediate impact in her first season, Chelsea Johnson has posted seven goals in seven games with nine drawn ejections.
• Fellow freshman Haley Wan leads the team in assists (11) and blocks (6), while also netting five goals.
