Men's Track & Field Hosts Princeton Invitational in Final Tune-up For Heps

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's track & field team returns to action on Sunday, Feb. 22 as it plays host to the 2015 Princeton Invitational.Nine varsity programs will join Princeton in the squad's final tune-up for the Ivy League Heptagonals, including: Monmouth, Neumann, NJIT, NYU, Rutgers, Rutgers-Camden, Stevens, TCNJ and York (N.Y).
The pole vault kicks off the men's field events at 11 a.m. The men's running events begin at 12:15 p.m. with the trials of the 60m hurdles.
LAST YEAR'S MEET
The Tigers secured five victories at last year's Princeton Invitational in the weight throw, shot put, pole vault, 60m hurdles and 400m.
Jake Taylor and Vic Youn were 1-2 in the weight throw with tosses of 16.19 (53-1.50) and 15.79 (51-9.75), respectively. Scott Rushton captured the shot put with a mark of 17.43 (57-2.24). Teammate Christopher Cook was third at 16.80 (55-1.50).
Adam Bragg posted the highest mark in the pole vault, clearing 5.25m (17-2.75), while Ben Gaylord was the runner-up at 4.95m (16-2.75).
Greg Caldwell and Rob Mohr claimed the first two spots in the 60m hurdles, clocking in at 8.20 and 8.31, respectively. Ray Mennin was second in the 500m at 1:05.58.
