| Princeton led from the first basket to the final buzzer Friday night at Brown, defeating the Bears 80-62 in a game that Princeton led by as many as 29 points midway through the second half. Princeton's advantage from the field - 49.1 percent to 42.1 percent - was helped by Brown's struggles from the free-throw line. Princeton took only two more free throws than the Bears, but Princeton was 18 of 23 while Brown hit less than half of its attempts, going 10 of 21 from the stripe. All 15 Tigers in uniform saw the floor and despite the 80-point total, which Princeton has reached just one other time this season against a Division I opponent (Fairleigh Dickinson), Steven Cook's 15 points were good enough to lead the club. Henry Caruso and Spencer Weisz chipped in 12 points apiece, and Steven Spieth had a game-high 17 for Brown. Princeton's 14-point lead at the break was its largest of the first half, and it came thanks to Princeton outshooting the Bears 51.7 percent to 36.7 percent while rebounds (19-18 Princeton) and turnovers (6-6) were all but square. |

• Alec Brennan's 3-pointer to close the first half was his first 3 since Dec. 19, when he hit one against Lipscomb. He had tried only one since, against Rowan on Jan. 25. |
