Prchal, Tigers Stand One Round from Top Honors at Ivy Championships

Finishing eight shots better than they did Friday, the Princeton men's golf team stands 18 holes from an Ivy League Championship after another solid round on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Princeton will have to hold off a Penn team that cut 16 shots off its Friday total to trim Princeton's lead from six shots over both Columbia and Penn after Friday to four shots heading into Sunday's final round.
Princeton will begin teeing off at 9:50 a.m. Sunday on the Grace Course's 10th hole.
Three players in the event's top eight have paced the Tigers, led by a 68 Saturday from sophomore Quinn Prchal, the low round of the tournament by two shots. That round, coupled with a 3-over 75 from Friday, puts Prchal as the only player in the 40-man Ivy field with a red number heading into Sunday at -1. Penn's Austin Powell is three shots back at +2 after rounds of 72 and 74.
Freshman Michael Davis is five shots behind Prchal in a three-way tie for third, and fellow rookie Marc Hedrick is in a two-way tie for seventh, seven shots back of Prchal.
Princeton's Saturday round was the second-best in the eight-team field, two behind Penn and two in front of Harvard. Columbia stands seven shots behind Princeton and four behind Penn for the tournament, with Harvard 14 shots back to round out the top four.
