April 30 TigerCast: Olivia Hompe & Becky Kreutter
April 30, 2015 | General, Women's Lacrosse, Women's Rowing - Lightweight
Several Princeton squads have entered the postseason portion of 2015, and two will be featured on this week's edition of TigerCast. Sophomore Olivia Hompe (women's lacrosse) and senior Becky Kreutter (women's lightweight rowing) discuss their key upcoming weekends.
Hompe reached the 100-point mark for her career late in her sophomore season, and she has been a key piece on Princeton's second straight Ivy League championship in women's lacrosse. After a strong April, Hompe and the Tigers will host the Ivy League tournament this weekend, with the winner receiving an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships. Princeton's journey will begin Friday night at 7 pm against Harvard.
Kreutter was a three-sport athlete in high school, but none of those sports was rowing. She walked on the lightweight team as a freshman, and she has developed into both a team co-captain and one of its most important rowers. The second-ranked Tigers will look for their first Eastern Sprints championship since 2011 Sunday morning on Cooper River, and Kreutter discusses her journey from walk-on to the starting line this weekend.
TigerCast, presented by PNC Bank, is the official podcast of Princeton Athletics. Previous episodes of TigerCast can be downloaded for free anytime at GoPrincetonTigers.com.
