May 7 TigerCast: Track Standouts Cecilia Barowski & Greg Caldwell
May 07, 2015 | General, Men's Track and Field, Women's Track and Field
As both try to lead the Princeton outdoor track and field teams to Heptagonal Championships this weekend, junior captains Cecilia Barowski and Greg Caldwell are guests on the latest edition of TigerCast.
Barowski is one of the top middle distance runners in the Ivy League. She is the reigning 400 champion outdoors, and she won the 800 title at the past indoor Heptagonal Championships. Princeton, which won several individual titles at the indoor meet, saw its depth suffer at the hands of injury and illness in the winter; Barowski, who ran in the Championship of America 4x400 Race at the Penn Relays, believes her team may be in better position to surprise this weekend.
Caldwell has been one of the best hurdlers in the Ivy League, and he is hoping to bring another Triple Crown back to Princeton this weekend. After winning both Heptagonal championships in cross country and indoor track & field, the Tigers will be looking to outscore a very tough Cornell squad this weekend at Franklin Field. Caldwell will be looking for a title of his own, as he was the 110 hurdles runner-up in last year's championships.
