| Game Summary |
|
Princeton weathered a slow first couple of minutes and controlled the opening half, but it didn't pay off with a goal until after the break when Stephanie Paloscio knocked in a free kick from Vanessa Gregoire that bounced off the post in the 49th minute to put the Tigers up a goal on the way to a 2-1 win Sunday afternoon in the team's first trip to Fordham. Princeton had held Fordham without a shot of any kind for a span of 48 minutes beginning with 10 minutes gone in the game, and the second shot after that Fordham drought ended was the game-tying goal. From there, Fordham didn't manage another shot, and Emily Sura launched a shot from well beyond the box off a short corner kick by Gregoire in the 77th minute for the winner. |
