Men's Swimming Wins Eight Of Nine, Holds Big Lead After HYP Day 1
January 30, 2016 | Men's Swimming and Diving
DAY 1 RESULTS
The Princeton seniors on the men's swimming and diving team have never won an HYP title. They certainly took a big step in changing that Friday night at DeNunzio Pool.
Princeton won eight of nine events during Day 1 of the annual HYP meet (the diving event will be rescored Saturday), and the Tigers hold strong leads over both Harvard (124.5-42.5) and Yale (128-39). The second session will begin Saturday at noon, and it will be streamed live on the Ivy League Digital Network.
En-Wei Hu-Van Wright won two events (50 free, 100 back) for Princeton, while Murphy McQuet, Corey Okubo, Teo D'Alessandro and Jack Pohlmann each won one apiece. The Tigers also won the 200 free relay and the 400 medley relay during a near-perfect opening session.

Princeton will try to complete the victories Saturday; a full weekend recap will be available following the second session.
