PRINCETON, N.J. (10/17/16) - The final non-conference game of the men's soccer season sees Princeton at Georgetown on Tuesday, Oct. 18. The teams kick off at 3 p.m.
Princeton is 6-5-1 overall and has won its last two non-conference games, including a 4-1 win over Rutgers last Tuesday 4-1. The Tigers dropped a 2-1 overtime game at Columbia on Saturday in Ivy League action. A five-point week by senior Greg Seifert sees his season totals improve to 17 total points. He has scored a team-leading seven goals and three assists. Freshman Benjamin Martin has three goals and two assists for eight points, while sophomore Sean McSherry and senior Vikram Pothuri have six points apiece. Senior Josh Haberman has played every minute in net and owns a 1.21 goals against average and a .737 save percentage.
Georgetown is unbeaten in the series at 6-0-1, with the last game resulting in a 3-1 decision when the Hoyas were ranked No. 13 in 2014. The teams have one common opponent, West Virginia, with both teams losing 1-0.
The Hoyas are 3-8-1 on the season and coming off of a 1-0 loss to DePaul on Saturday. Georgetown has hit a three-game winless skid with its last win being a 3-1 victory over American on Sept. 27. The Hoyas have net just nine goals this season with three coming from Brett Campbell. Arun Basuljevic has scored twice and has one assist, while Brendan McDonough has one goal and one assist. JT Marcinkowski has started in goal in all but one game this season. He has a 1.25 goals against average and a .781 save percentage.
