Trip to Penn for ITA Northeast Regional Up Next for Tigers

The annual ITA Northeast Regional is set to begin Thursday at Penn for the Princeton men's tennis team.
Princeton will have six players in the seven-round main singles draw, led by Tom Colautti, who is seeded among the second eight, and Alex Day, who is seeded in the second 16. Jonathan Carcione, Davey Roberts, Jimmy Wasserman and Payton Holden will also play in the main singles draw. Ben Tso and Eduardo Paz will be among the 48 players looking to win two matches to gain one of the 12 spots from the qualifying singles draw in the main draw.
In doubles play, Day and Luke Gamble hold the top seed in the six-round draw and Colautti and Holden are seeded in the second eight while Carcione and Wasserman will also team up.
Day and Gamble were doubles semifinalists a year ago, and Diego Vives was a singles quarterfinalist last year.
Holden and Roberts enter the competition as Princeton's winningest singles players so far, each at 9-2, and Day and Gamble have a win over the nation's preseason No. 1 doubles pair, Julian Cash and Arjun Kadhe from Oklahoma State, to their credit along with a No. 21 preseason national ranking.

Thursday will see two rounds of singles qualifying beginning at 8 a.m. Friday has one round of doubles beginning at 8 a.m. followed by one round of singles. Saturday will feature the second round of doubles, beginning at 8 a.m., followed by two rounds of main-draw and consolation singles. Sunday, two rounds of doubles will begin at 9 a.m., followed by one round of main-draw singles and two rounds of consolation singles. Monday will feature the doubles semifinals at 9 a.m., followed by main-draw singles quarterfinals and semifinals and the consolation singles final. The event will wrap Tuesday with finals of both main-draw doubles and singles, beginning at 9 a.m.
