Wan Selected as CWPA National Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Sophomore Haley Wan of the Princeton women's water polo team was selected as the Collegiate Water Polo Association's (CWPA) National Player of the Week today.
Wan began the season with a stellar three-goal performance as Princeton rallied for a 12-10 comeback victory over Cal Baptist on Friday. The sophomore continued her fantastic play with back-to-back two goal outings on Saturday as the team took down Villanova, 16-5 and Cal Lutheran, 16-6. Already with seven goals in three games, Wan saved her best performance for last, registering a career best four goals and eight points in the Tigers' 15-8 victory over Iona on Sunday.
Head coach Luis Nicolao's squad will get back in action at Bucknell Invitational (Feb. 27-28). The Tigers will take on VMI (4:00 p.m.) and Wagner (8:30 p.m.) on Feb. 27, followed by a match vs. Washington and Jefferson on Feb. 28 (12:30 p.m.).
