BOX SCORE
TROY, N.Y. (2/20/16) - Junior Ben Foster scored the lone goal for the Princeton men's hockey team as the Tigers fell to No. 17 Rensselaer 2-1 on Saturday night at Houston Field House.
Mike Bubela scored both goals for the Engineers.
After a scoreless first period it was Foster that lit the lamp first, at 1:40 of the second. He carried the puck into the zone, dropped it off for Eric Robinson who took a shot that was deflected over to the right boards where Matt Nelson put a stick on it and pushed it into the circle for Foster who was coming around the back of the net. Surrounded by Engineers, Foster still managed to get the shot off and beat Jason Kasdorf.

Bubela evened the game at 1-1 at 15:40 of the second. He knocked in a quick pass from behind the goal from Jimmy DeVito from the left pipe and it banked off the right side and in.
Bubela and DeVito teammed up again for the eventual game winner at 1:54 of the third. DeVito slotted the puck for Bubela on a quick transition and he backhanded in the goal beating junior netminder Colton Phinney.
Phinney finished the game with 39 saves and became Princeton's single season save leader. Phinney currently has 892 saves, surpassing Erasmo Saltarelli's 870 from the 1997-98 season.
Kasdorf finished with 19 saves, as RPI outshot Princeton 41-20 and improves to 16-12-6 overall and 8-6-6 in league play.
The Tigers (5-20-2, 3-15-2) host Yale and Brown in the home finale next weekend at Hobey Baker Rink.
