Emily Smith Named CWPA Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Sophomore Emily Smith of the Princeton women's water polo team was named the Collegiate Water Polo Association's (CWPA) National Player of the Week. It's her third career Player of the Week award.
Smith began last weekend with the game-tying goal vs. No. 20 San Diego State on Saturday as the Tigers would go on to take down the Aztecs, 8-5. Against No. 11 UC-San Diego, Smith had a team-high three goals as Princeton dropped a close 9-8 decision. The sophomore scored another goal as the Tigers took down Chapman, 13-3.
The No. 14 Princeton Tigers take part in the Loyola Marymount Invitational this weekend beginning with Azusa Pacific (12 p.m.) and Whittier (3:45 p.m.) on Friday. Princeton battles the host, No. 15 Loyola Marymount on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
