The Year That Was
- The Tigers went 7-32 last season and 4-16 in the Ivy League in 2015.
- Princeton had Danny Hoy (first team) and Billy Arendt (honorable mention) garner All-Ivy League honors.
- Starting all 35 of his appearances, Hoy batted a team-high .311 in 132 at-bats. Topping the squad in home runs (6), triples (2), and doubles (13), Hoy slugged a squad-best .576, while driving in a team-high 26 RBI.
- Starting all 39 of the Princeton's games, Arendt ranked second on the team in batting average, hitting .299 on the season. Scoring a squad-best 22 runs, Arendt also ranked second on the Tigers in doubles (9), home runs (2), and RBI (14).
Moving on Up
- Tyler Servais was selected in the 27th round by the Detroit Tigers in the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft.
- The 820th overall pick, Servais is the third Tiger in the last two seasons to be selected, joining former teammates Michael Fagan and Alec Keller, who were chosen in the ninth and 17th rounds of the 2014 MLB Draft, by the Washington Nationals and Oakland Athletics, respectively.
2016 Team
- The Tigers have 21 players returning from last year's team including All-Ivy performers, Danny Hoy and Billy Arendt.
- Some of the top returners include Zack Belski (.254/.333/.285), Nick Hernandez (.250/.317/.333), Paul Tupper (.225/.266/.285), Asher Lee-Tyson (.247/.337/.260) and Danny Baer (.180/.291/292)
- Princeton has its top four starting pitchers returning in Luke Streiber (1-5, 3.86 ERA), Keelan Smithers (1-8, 5.16 ERA), Chad Powers (1-6, 6.55 ERA) and Nick Brady (1-6, 7.21 ERA).
- Some top returning relief pitchers are Chris Giglio (12 apperances, 6.45 ERA) and Chris Bodurian (13 apperances, 8.75 ERA).
- Princeton has eight freshmen that are expected to make an impact; Alex Dickinson, Joseph Flynn, Jesper Horsted, Tanner Kliewer, Max Machiorlette, Trey Ramsey, Ryan Smith and Max West.
Road Warriors
- The Tigers start the 2016 season with 16 games on the road beginning with a three-game set vs. No. 4 Louisville (Mar. 4-6).
- Princeton will battle Penn State, NY Tech, Richmond (Mar. 12-14) before a two-game series at Old Dominion (Mar. 15-16).
- A four-game series at Georgetown (Mar. 17-20) precedes a trip to Annapolis, Md. to play Navy (Mar. 26-Mar. 27)
- Robert H.B. Baldwin '42 head coach Scott Bradley's team finally sees Clarke Field with a non-conference matchup vs. Seton Hall (Mar. 30).
Scouting Louisville
- The Cardinals are 6-2 on the season and ranked No. 4 in the country.
- Louisville's only two losses of the season came to No. 21 Ole Miss.
- Recently, sophomore Brendan McKay was chosen as the ACC Pitcher of the Week after allowing three hits in a complete game shut out vs. Ole Miss.
- The week before, junior Corey Ray was picked as ACC Player of the Week.
- The Cardinals have six starters that hit over .350 including three players with at least two home runs each.
- Louisville is hitting .348 as a team along while its pitchers have a 2.83 combined ERA.
- Last year, the Cardinals went 47-18, falling in the NCAA Super Regionals to No. 11 Cal-State Fullerton.
