Defense Holds Drexel Scoreless as Men's Soccer Wins 2-0

The Princeton men's soccer team posted a 2-0 shutout of Drexel on Tuesday evening at Vidas Field to improve to 3-2 with its third consecutive win.
Senior Josh Haberman made three saves to earn his first shutout of the season and third of his career. The defense allowed just six shots total. The Tigers have now held the Dragons scoreless for 568:08 in the series, dating back to the 2002 season. Princeton has won the last six meetings all via shutout.
Sophomore defender Henry Martin put the Tigers on the board in the 41st minute with his first career tally. Senior defender Mark Romanowski assisted on the goal which came off a scrum in front of netminder Tyler Afflerbach after a set piece was lofted into the box after the Tigers drew a foul.
Junior Nicholas Badalamenti added the insurance in the 57th minutes with help from senior Bryan Windsor. He is the sixth goal scorer this season for the squad as he put away a Windsor corner kick.
Afflerbach finished the game with four saves as the Dragons drop to 1-4-2.
Princeton outshot Drexel 10-6 and had three more corners, 4-1.
Princeton returns home to host Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 7 p.m.
