Bullock and Neatby Sweep ECAC Hockey Weekly Honors

Princeton freshmen were on fire this week as Carly Bullock was named both the ECAC Hockey Player and Rookie of the Week, while Steph Neatby was named the ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday, Jan. 3. Bullock was also named the GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week, presented by Coach USA.
Bullock collected her first career hat trick as Princeton defeated No. 8 Quinnipiac 3-2 on Sunday afternoon. Down 1-0, Bullock notched a power-play goal with a tally from the high slot. She put Princeton on top 2-0 in the second with her second power-play goal a backhanded goal, and then redirected a drive for her third goal to make it 3-1 Tigers in the second period. It was the rookie's first game-winning goal as Princeton defeated Quinnipiac for the first time since Jan. 3, 2011.
Steph Neatby improved to 4-1 with a win over No. 8 Quinnipiac on Sunday. She made 29 saves, including 12 in the third period as the Bobcats tried to overcome a two-goal deficit. Both of the goals allowed were made with an extra skater on the ice, a power-play goal in the first and an extra-attacker goal in the third.
The Tigers are 10-6-2 overall and 6-4-1 in the ECAC, and were receiving votes in the last USCHO national poll, released on Dec. 12.
