No. 11 Princeton Uses Balanced Scoring In 12-7 Victory Over No. 18 Bucknell

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 11 Princeton Tigers had six different goal scorers in a decisive 12-7 victory over the No. 18 Bucknell Bison at Blodgett Pool on Sunday afternoon.
Princeton improves to 17-4 overall and have won nine of its last 10 games. The Tigers will take a week off before getting back into Northeast Water Polo Conference action at MIT (11 a.m.) and No. 14 Harvard (8 p.m.) on Oct. 28.
The Highlights: Bucknell
Princeton scored five times in the third period to pull away in the contest.
Matt Payne and Michael Swart combined for seven goals.
The Tigers held Bucknell to one goal over the final 11 minutes.

The two nationally ranked squads played evenly over the first two quarters with no team leading by more than one goal. Even at 5-all at halftime, the Tigers posted the first four goals of the third quarter and led 10-6 after 24 minutes. Princeton outscored Bucknell 2-1, in the fourth frame and allowed just two goals in the second half to secure the victory.
