Hickson Nets First Career Goal as Princeton Tops Drexel, 1-0

PRINCETON, N.J. (10/31/17) - Sophomore defender Bobby Hickson scored his first career goal as Princeton finished off its non-conference schedule with a 1-0 win over Drexel, Tuesday evening on Myslik Field.

Senior Matthew Mangini struck the ball from 40 yards out into the box where Hickson and a Drexel went up to head the ball. The ball was sent to the left side of the six-yard box where junior Jeremy Colvin used his speed to get to it and keep it in and sent a perfect cross across the goal box and Hickson extended his right leg to put it away in the 82nd minute.

Mangini has assisted on the last three Princeton goals, and has four on the season.

Sophomore Jacob Schachner made three saves to earn his fifth shutout of the season.

Princeton had a 19-5 advantage in shots, forcing Drexel keeper Jacob Jordan to stop six shots on goal.

The Tigers extend their unbeaten streak to five as they improve to 5-6-4 overall. Princeton travels to Penn on Saturday, Nov. 4 for a 7 p.m., match in Philadelphia.
