Princeton is riding a five-game unbeaten streak after a 1-0 win over Drexel this past Tuesday night. The Tigers are 5-6-4 overall and is fifth in the Ivy League with a 1-2-2 record. Princeton has held all but one opponent scoreless in the first half this season with its steady back line and sophomore Jacob Schachner in goal. Schachner has four shutouts, a 0.91 GAA and the second-best save percentage in the league at .800. Junior Jeremy Colvin sits atop the scoring column with 12 points on five goals and two assists. Seniors Daniel Bowkett, James Reiner and freshman Kevin O'Toole have four points apiece, while seniors Harry Heffernan and Matthew Mangini add three.
Penn holds a three-game lead in the 100+ year series, 44-47-10. Last year the teams played to a 2-2 draw, following back-to-back Princeton wins. Henry Martin and Sean McSherry were the goal scorers for the Tigers, while Matt Poplawski and Alec Neumann scored for the Quakers and have both since graduated. Shots on goal fell 8-6 in favor of Princeton.
The Quakers are 3-11-1 on the season and 1-3-1 in the Ivy League. The team's league win was a 4-1 victory over Yale on Oct. 21. The other wins were against Delaware and SIUE - a team the Tigers lost to in September. Joe Swenson has scored half of his team's goals, seven of 14, and adds two assists for 16 points. Senior Sam Wancowicz follows with two goals and two assists while junior Jerel Blades and freshman Jake Kohlbrenner have five points each. Junior Scott Forbes has started in 10 games in goal and has a 1.88 GAA and a .568 save percentage. Junior Etan Mabourakh has seen action in five games nad has a 1.91 GAA and a .688 save percentage.
