Tigers Enjoy Successful Saturday at Farnsworth Invite
October 07, 2017 | Men's Tennis
Junior Jimmy Wasserman teamed with freshman Noah Agarwal to win a doubles flight title and will appear in a singles flight final Sunday, and freshman Kabir Sarita will also appear in a singles flight final following the second day of play at Princeton's Farnsworth Invitational Saturday.
Wasserman will face Lars Schouten of Marist in the B singles final at 9:30 a.m. and Sarita will face Columbia's Rian Padole in the C singles final at 8:30.
Wasserman and Agarwal won three times Saturday to win the B doubles title, and Wasserman and Sarita each won twice to make the flight finals.
"We've had a very solid two days at our Farnsworth event and it's been really valuable for the four guys playing to get a heavy volume of match play," Princeton coach Billy Pate said. "Jimmy and Noah really had a great tournament in doubles in winning their flight and we had some positive singles performances from everyone playing. Unfortunately, Diego sustained a tough injury in doubles and it appears he'll be out for a several weeks. We're excited for Jimmy and Kabir to play in the finals of their singles flights tomorrow. Kabir picked up his level this week and has caught his stride which is nice to see so early in his college career."
If rain intervenes Sunday, matches will be moved indoors to Jadwin Gym. Updated draws can be found here.
